Patrick Allerton, HTB Student Pastor, writes: “We are part of a great nation. A nation that’s raised other nations. A nation that’s run with the Gospel, taking Christ to the ends of the earth. We’ve been strong and courageous in faith, seen revival and history made.

But, as a nation we’ve turned from the Lord, forgotten our roots and lost our way. We’re broken, blind, and hurting. It’s time for that to change…

What if 2012 saw a change in the spiritual life of Britain?
What if this year God’s Spirit really moved?
What if the Church rose up in a visible way and sought the God of Heaven?
What if 2012 saw the United Kingdom, OUR United Kingdom, United For The King?

We believe it can happen.

On March 15th last year, 1500 people gathered in Parliament Square, London, to pray for our nation and leaders. There was worship, witness, unity and prayer. Then on December 1st, 55 cities in 12 different countries united for a simultaneous ‘7:14’ event. Thousands rose up in PUBLIC prayer and worship.

This year, we want more…

On 19th May, the Olympic Torch begins its journey from Lands End to London, 70 days of pilgrimage across the whole UK. We want to use the torch relay as a catalyst for a wave of consecutive 7:14 events in towns and cities nationwide, preparing the ground and praying for Heaven’s ‘flame’ this Olympic year.

A wave of public prayer and worship, sweeping the nation and gathering momentum, until we come together in London, to seek the Lord together. International cities will join us on that day.

No stage, no mics, no brands, no speaker. Just the people of God in one place at one time, with the healing of lands on their hearts.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

This vision is a partnership with ‘More Than Gold’, ‘Kingdom Come 2012’, ‘Alpha’, ’24-7 Prayer’, ‘New Wine’, ‘The Evangelical Alliance’, ‘Joy To The Streets’, ‘Shift’ and more.
